The intent of this website is to provide Isothermal Community College employees with the means to explore and discuss various learning strategies. Posting links to relevant materials and participating in discussion forums are just a few methods used on this site to share ideas.
The Learning Strategies taskforce, sponsor of this site, explores strategies for improving learning through the following:
- steers our efforts to train new faculty in learning strategies
- shares cooperative learning techniques
- serves as planning partners for newly trained faculty and staff
- serves as a resource by demonstrating the techniques
- meets regularly to discuss ways to support our learning efforts
- acknowledge contributions to the learning college via the Golden Apple Award
- implementation of “Learning Communities"
- This site holds training materials and templates for the Brown Book training materials.
