Topics include medical vocabulary and the terms that relate to the anatomy, physiology, pathological conditions, and treatments of selected systems. Upon completion, students should be able to pronounce, spell, and define medical terms as related to selected body systems and their pathological disorders.

  • This course introduces ICD-9 and CPT coding as they apply to medical insurance and billing.  Emphasis is placed on accuracy in coding, billing and forms preparation.  Upon completion, students should be able to describe the claims process and the importance of accuracy.  This course is a unique concentration requirement Medical Office Administration Program.

  • This course introduces intermediate to advanced web page design techniques. Topics include effective use of graphics, fonts, colors, navigation tools, advanced markup language elements, as well as a study of bad design techniques. Upon completion, students should be able to employ advanced design techniques to create high impact and highly functional web pages.
