- The next step in career advancement is for a CNC operator is to become a CNC stepup tech. This is a person who can completely setup and machine production workpieces for the jobs they are assigned - without needing any help. Also this person may write some of the programs, a setup person - more correctly called a CNC machinist - will perform all tasks related to getting the machine up and running. If required, a setup person can also complete the production run (though many companies will turn the machine over to a CNC operator once the setup is completed).
CNC Turning Introduces students to the world of computer controlled machining and machine programing! This course is a basic intoduction into the world of computer Numeric controlled machining.
This course covers manufacturing related calculations. students will learn basic math functions and use of engineering calculators and formulas.

CNC Milling Introduces students to the world of computer controlled machining and machine programing! This course introduces the care and use of precision measuring instruments. Emphasis is placed on the inspection of machine parts and use of a wide variety of measuring instruments. Upon completion, students should be able to demostrate the correct use of measuring instruments.
This course is a basic intoduction into the world of computer Numeric controlled machining.
