This course introduces basic drafting skills, equipment, and applications. Topics include sketching, measurements, lettering, dimensioning, geometric construction, orthographic projections and pictorial drawings, sections and auxiliary views. Upon completion, students should be able to understand and apply basic drawing principles.
This course is an introduction to extended CAD applications. Emphasis is placed on intermediate applications of CAD skills. Basic three-dimensional solid modeling and design software will be introduced. Topics include basic design, creation, editing, rendering and analysis of solid models and creation of multiview drawings. Upon completion students should be able to use extended CAD applications to generate and manage drawings.
